Canada Energy Regulator (CER)

The CER is the Canadian regulator for all interprovincial and international pipelines including TNPI’s Ontario-Quebec pipeline. The CER requires the companies it regulates to develop and maintain Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR) Programs to minimize the effects of incidents and emergencies that may impact the health and safety of the public, company employees, property and the environment. The CER also monitors, observes, and assesses the overall effectiveness of our emergency response and, in the unlikely event of a large incident or emergency, may be part of a Unified Command.
